Description
CONTACT Stanley Chan, Electronics Engineer, (732) 532-1862. This market survey is to locate sources that are capable to design, develop, manufacture and deliver the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Medium Gain Antennas, NS N: 5985-01-149-2576 and the Antenna Extensions, which are used with the Medium Gain Antenna, NSN: 5895-01-388-4428. The Medium Gain Antenna is a foldable, circularly polarized, UHF Satellite Communication (SATCOM) antenna designed for portability and easy of use. This antenna shall be withstanding wind loading in excess of 80 miles per hour. This Antenna shall be set-up and deployed in less than 3 minutes by one person using arctic gloves. This antenna system shall has the capability of operating with the AN/PSC-5, AN/PSC-3, AN/PSC-7 (MST-20 Plus), AN/PSC-10 (LST-5A/B) and AN/PRC-117 or equivalent ground, shelter or manpack Satellite communication systems. This Yagi antenna shall be designed and built in accordance with the Government product specifications and shall be deployable 2000 times or operated at fixed locations for extended periods of time by military troops in all possible military environments. The Antenna Extensions shall be enabled the users of the Medium Gain Antennas to increase the gain of the antennas from 7 dBic to up to 11 dBic as required. The current sources for these items are Trivec-Avant Corporation, cage 60188. Detailed technical drawings for the manufacture of these units are not available from the Army. The only technical data av ailable, which will be a part of the solicitation, are the product specifications. Potential sources of supply must be able to meet or excess the following Government requirements: 1. Technical Requirements =?646?Q?=B7=09Medium_Gain_Antenna_(NSN_5985-01-149-2576)?= On Axis Gain (240-400 MHz), Nominal 7.0 dBic Operating Frequency 240 to 400 MHz Polarization right hand circular Impedance 50 Ohm VSWR 1: 1.5 max Axial Ratio 3dB Max at half power point Operating Temperature -25 to 125 degrees F Storage Temperature -70 to 160 degrees F Power Handling 200 Watts CW RF Cables 2 each, 12.5 ft long Antenna Connector male, BNC type Cable Connectors male and female BNC Tripod with AZ and EL axis AZ rotation 360+ degrees EL rotation 0 to 90 degrees (The antenna shall have a locking mechanism to maintain a minimum elevation angle of 10o while operating under 80 MPH wind.)
