Description: Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a cost plus fixed fee Delivery Order to continue it's product improvement program for the ALE-50 Advanced Airborne Expendable Decoy (AAED) to the Raytheon Company, Sensor and Electronic Systems Division of Goleta, CA. Raytheon will examine develop, manufacture, test and repair potential product improvements to the ALE-50 AAED and it's variants. Raytheon is the designer, developer and sole producer of the ALE-50 AAED and the only firm possessing the requisite technical knowledge/expertise, facilities, tooling and special test equipment necessary to facilitate Navy desired improvements to the ALE-50 AAED in a timely manner.
