Description: SOLE SOURCE: The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a modification to contract W9124R-04-P-1299, with Statistical Research Inc (SRI), 6099 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson AZ 85712, for Class III Archaeological su rvey as required, consisting of a total of approximately 1873 acres located on YPG Kofa range. SRI has intimate knowledge of the problems associated with the Combat Systems Maneuver Area (CSMA) Phase IIB project area; sites located in the area, and have knowledge and expertise to address the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) recommendations regarding previous archaeological surveys performed. To award this contract to another firm would cause the project to restart from the beginning, ca using time delays and would cause duplication of work that has already been performed, in addition to the costs for the new work to complete the CSMA project work IAW the Arizona SHPO recommendations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAI CS) code is 541720 with a size standard of $6 million. Award of the requirement shall be in accordance with FAR Part 12- Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competit ive proposals. If you company can accomplish the work described herein, you may identify your interest in providing the requirement by submitting a proposal to Barbara.Byam@yuma.army.mil, no later than 22 December 2004 at 9:00am MST. Your proposal must d emonstrate that your firm possesses the experience and capability to complete this work without causing time delays and costs for work already performed.
