Description
The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), Missile Fuels Commodities Business Unit (CBU) is seeking potential sources that have the capability to perform an inspection/survey of a cathodic protection system on a Gaseous Nitrogen pipeline in accordance with current commercial practice, as described in NACE standard RP0169 2002 and UFC 3 570 06 (Unified Facilities Criteria – Operation and Maintenance: Cathodic Protection Systems). Potential sources shall conduct an initial close-interval survey and semi-annual cathodic inspections at Vandenberg AFB, CA. The pipeline is approximate 7.6 miles long, seamless steel NPS 4 inch XXS, API 5L, grade X56; protected by a sacrificial anode cathodic protection system. The potential sources shall conduct the initial close-interval survey (every 3 feet) over the entire pipeline between the isolation clamps located at each Gaseous Nitrogen user interface and the Gaseous Nitrogen supplier filter outlet interface. Personnel performing the semi-annual cathodic protection survey/inspection and initial close interval survey shall be certified by NACE International Level I, to meet Federal and local certification requirements in cathodic protection services. (2) If yes, provide timeframe for when work was performed. (3) Were these services performed for the Government? (4) Do your personnel possess the necessary certifications as described above?
