Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted) on reference number FA4803-05-QA018. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. North American Industrial Classification Standard 334220, Size Standard, 750 employees, applies to this procurement. The following line item shall be provided: CLIN 0001/Part No. DMD20M: Universal Satellite Modem Fully compatible to the OM-73 modem type. Standard base unit configuration includes: OM-73 modem group compatible scrambler/descrambler, High Stability Clock 1x10 -7, 50 Ohm IF, and TNC connectors (optional BNC upon request), BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK modulation, 2.4Kbps to 20Mbps variable data rate, Enhanced Async/AUPC, 50 to 180MHz IF, Reed Solomon, Viterbi FEC Universal data interface supports RS232/422/449, EIA530, V.35. Configured modem must include options below: DMD20 IDR Option: (AS/4975-SYG7IDR) Optional IDR mode enables all modem features to support an open network modem compliant to IESS 308 Includes IDR ESC with G.703 (Can not be installed with HSSI or ASI data interface.) DMD20 IBS Option: (IBS-20) Optional IBS mode enables all modem features to support an open network modem compliant to IESS 309 DMD20 Drop and Insert Option: (D&I-20) Provides independent timeslot selection for drop and/or insert of T1 (1544Kbps) or E1 (2048Kbps) links. Note: Must purchase DMD20 IDR Option for D&I to function. DMD20 8PSK Option: (8PSK-20) Optional 8PSK high order modulation. Incl. trellis/viterbi decoder 2/3 rate.
