Description

DESC: 5360-01-128-5632, Part Number 9348452. The Spring, Helical, Compression is manufactured out of steel, wire, music quality, ASTM A228. Wire DIA is 1.000MM; coil helix direction is right-hand; spring free length is 480.0MM; spring free outside diameter is 11.25MM; spring solid length is 242.0MM; inside diameter is 4.75MM. Heat-treated. The Spring, Helical Compression is used on the M249 Machine Gun. Requirements will be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 2,800. The solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside, FOB Destination. Estimated issue date is 5 June 2003 and the above listed response date is only an estimate. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that ca nnot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information ; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. This solicitation will be iss ued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto.
