- Additional/clarifying information is provided as follows in response to questions received: 1. QUESTION: What is the desired start date for the training? RESPONSE: Mid-January 2005; we anticipate from one (1) class to (3) classes per month for the period January through April 2005. This is an estimate only; we intend to place orders as our needs occur. We anticipate similar needs will also be requi red after April 2005. 2. QUESTION: Would the Army be interested in negotiating an option where the training could start approximately 1 March, with a throughput of approximately 30 students per week? RESPONSE: No. See response to Question 1 above. 3. QUESTION: How many students does the Army desire trained at one time (maximum number per class)? RESPONSE: We estimate the number of students will be 20 to 30 per class. 4. QUESTION: Where is the statement of work? Dont know how much equipment, ammo, junker cars, etc. we will need and when RESPONSE: Offerors are required to tell us how they intend to provide training in the areas we listed. The amount of equipment, ammunition, and junker cars depend on the number of students and the number of classes. Equipment will be required for each class scheduled. 5. QUESTION: It is impossible to bid without knowing each class size, how frequent are the classes to be run and when do they start RESPONSE: See Response to Question 1 above. 6. QUESTION: What equipment does the Government supply? RESPONSE: The Government supplies no equipment. 7. QUESTION: Currently what is Fort Campbell using or would want covered? Pepper spray, Mace, Bean Bags, Stun Guns, Tazer, Batons - could you please be more specific on which type of non-lethal weapons? RESPONSE: Primarily the M24 Tazer and OC. Training should include the operation and exposure to the OC agent and operation of the M24 and being shot/tazed with the M24. The use of batons should also be addressed. 8. QUESTION: At the end of each training group, will we be able to invoice for each individual group? RESPONSE: Individual orders for classes will be placed against the BPA and invoices submitted for each order. 9. QUESTION: The solicitation states that all training is to be completed by May 31st, 2005. Will the 233-300 be allowed to be trained in increments of 30, 45, and 60? RESPONSE: See Response to Question 1 above. 10. QUESTION: Do you have any approximate dates so far that would be most beneficial from your group? RESPONSE: See Response to Question 1 above.
