Description

A-- Notice of SET ASIDE FOR A SERVICE-DIABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS Concerns: (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. B-- The NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. C-- The Sierra Pacific Network Consolidate Contracting Activity (CCA) is issuing a Commercial Item request for Quotes (RFQ) in accordance with FAR 12.203 and FAR 13 to provide all parts, labor, materials, travel, and supervision necessary to provide preventative maintenance inspections and emergency service to maintain Government-owned Chiller/Air Conditioning Systems, in good operating condition for the period January 1, 2005 through September 30, 2005, with four one-year option periods. Types of Chiller/Air Conditioning Systems include, but may not be limited to the following types: York, Liebert, McQuay, Trane, Multistack, and Carrier. The equipment is located at various VA locations including Martinez, California (94553), Mare Island, California (94592), Travis AFB, California (94535), Mather, California (95655), McClellan Park, California (95652). D-- Definition: “Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern”— (1) Means a small business concern-- (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a service-disabled veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) “Service-disabled veteran” means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16).
