Description
The Office of Naval Research (ONR), Arlington, VA, will conduct an INDUSTRY DAY to present the current status of the Beachable High Speed Sea Base Connector, or T-Craft, Program and its relationship to the ONR’s Seabasing Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP) initiative, performance and operation requirements, potential envisioned concepts and solicit industry inputs regarding ONR’s acquisition approach, risk reduction/mitigation, technology insertion, and other related issues. Current Increment I solicits concept white papers from industry. Increment II anticipates multiple awards of contracts for feasibility studies for the design, fabrication and demonstration testing of a small-scale model. Increment III will be a contract for design, production and demonstration testing of a large-scale prototype. T-Craft Industry Day will start at 8 A.M. Central Time on 8 February at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) in building 308 (Long Glass) of the Naval S! upport Activity, Panama City. The tentative agenda for the meeting includes a presentation providing: introduction of the background and objectives of the ONR Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP) Program, an overview of the Navy’s Seabasing concept and the expectations for the role of the T-Craft, a detailed description of the Navy’s objectives and requirements for Increment I, the ONR Program Manager’s objectives and expectations for the Increment II effort, a discussion of the Increment III approach. The NSA-PC Visitor Reception Center opens at 6:30 AM and attendees are cautioned to allow sufficient time to obtain a visitor badge and vehicle pass at the Visitor Reception Center located at the main gate on Thomas Drive. Following a lunch break, a question and answer session for Increment I will be conducted. Industry Day will conclude after the question and answer session, which is expected to end no later than 5:30 P.M.. A tour of a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) at ! the Naval Support Activity, Panama City will be offered on 9 February, weather permitting. Industry Day briefings and any discussions will be unclassified. To facilitate meeting planning, each company/entity attending Industry Day is required to submit (on company letterhead) a list of all planned attendees. The maximum number of attendees per company/entity is five persons. The document shall provide, as a minimum, the following information for each planned attendee: Full Name of Attendee, Job Position Title, Country of Citizenship, Will Attend LCAC tour at NSWC-PC on 9 Feb: Yes or No, a point of contact with telephone number and email address in case there are any questions related to the submission. Submission of the list by mail or facsimile is acceptable and must be received no later than 3 P.M. Central Time, 1 February 2005. No substitutions or additions will be allowed after this date and time.
