Description

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to negotiate and issue a non-competitive, sole source purchase order with Carrier Commercial Systems & Sales, Plymouth Meeting, PA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302. Soliciting from a single source, for a 60 ton, air-cooled, reciprocating Chiller with 150 psi flow switch option - P/N: 30GTN060--E5--KA, Option P/N: --HR--81LG--005, NAICS Code 333415. Carrier is the only known US distributor able to provide the specified chiller with the required footprint and only Carrier will meet the Government?s need, no substitutions will be accepted. A fixed price order will be issued on or about January 3, 2005. All items shall be delivered to US Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, NJ. Delivery Date is 70 calendar days ARO, FOB Destination. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than 12:00 PM December 28, 2004. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this requirement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation nor is it a request for competition. The submission of data for review shall not impede award of a purchase order.
