Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) proposes to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) to the University of Texas at Austin for continued support in the study planning and coordination for a Texas Air Quality Field Program for 2005/2006. This study will establish the scientific basis for future air quality management plans that must be developed for ozone (with concentrations averaged over 8 hrs), and for development of regional haze and fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) policies. This study is a coordinated effort involving NOAA, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State of Texas, and the scientists at the University of Texas at Austin. The principal investigator will be Dr. David T. Allen. No solicitation is available ? this notice is for informational purposes only. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). Questions should be submitted in writing to the contracting officer either by fax or email.
