Description

EDUCATION SUPPORT SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE AIR FORCE PROTOCOL COURSE: The solicitation number is FA8601-05-T-0036. The proposed contract is for performance period of approximately 10 Jan 05 ? 25 Jun 05. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The proposed source is Matters of Protocol, Alexandria, VA. The government anticipates a sole source award to Matters of Protocol for educational services to assist the Air Force Institute of Technology in its support of the Air Force Protocol Course educational program. The course material requires years of experience to effectively deliver, given its highly interactive and scenario based execution. A sole source award is anticipated because Matters of Protocol was instrumental in the design and development of all course material and has many years of protocol experience from Base level to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
