Description

The U.S. Geological Survey in Reston, VA has a requirement for graphic art services and product delivery services by preparing, mounting and framing of USGS products, including Government-furnished maps. The range of services includes laminating and mosaicking to meet accuracy standards, permanent dry mounting, and framing. The Contractor shall use a provided Digital Raster Graphic (DRG) product (scanned images of USGS quadrangle maps), photographically produce individual maps of specific Congressional districts. The final product is a laminated, mounted and framed graphic of a Congressional district. The graphic art services shall include regularly scheduled and on-call pick-up and delivery services. The proposed contract will consist of a base year with four optional years. Procedures in FAR 12 shall be used for this procurement. Due to the requirement of the frequent contact between Government personnel and the Contractor, and the need for rapid response times for special work requiring a forty-eight hour turnaround, the Contractor must be capable of meeting with Government personnel at the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston, VA with an eight-hour response time. The period of performance will begin around April 1, 2005. This solicitation will be issued by means of a combination firm fixed-price and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Option Year Contract. An anticipated release date of the solicitation is on or about December 27, 2004. This is a total Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS Code is 541430 with a $6 Million size standard. A site visit will be conducted and is anticipated to be around January 4, 2005, although the exact date will be specified in the RFP. See Note 1.
