- Description
- NOTE: The funds for this request are currently unavailable. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FA4486-05-T-0003. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04 and DFARS Change Notice 2002-0002. All responsible sources shall submit a written proposal, which will be considered. Facsimile submissions will also be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 337214. This combined synopsis/solicitation is unrestricted. Description: The following description is based upon need, appearance and desired effects. There are 4 rooms to be furnished (LGCA, LGCB, Superintendent’s office, Secretary’s area). For LGCA and LGCB the desired effect is if a flight chief or commander, etc were to enter the room they would be able to immediately see all employees there. This can be accomplished by having all desks against the wall, equal work spaces, community lateral files (for contracts), individual storage units, NO overheads, and eye level dividers (partitions) for each person’s desk and if possible a “horseshoe” workspace area for the desks. For both LCGA and LCCB, please provide two different proposals (as noted on drawings). For LGCA, 10 workstations & 1 desk unit in Flight Chiefs office, also in Flt Chief’s office we need a small conference table/chairs. Then, also needed is a conference table/chairs in Area “A,” this will all be for Option 1. For Option 2, 11 workstations and 1 desk unit in Flight Chiefs office, also in Flt Chief’s office a small conference table. In LGCB, 8 workstations and 1 desk unit in Flight Chiefs office, along with a conference table/chairs in Area “B” will be needed for Option 1. For Option 2, 9 workstations and 1 desk unit in Flight Chiefs office. Reminder: The office furniture in LGCA and LGCB must be the same size workstations for each and styles must also be the same for both offices. For the superintendent’s office, it needs to have a desk with drawer storage; NO overheads and lateral files can be separate from desk unit. The secretary’s area needs to be very open and welcoming to customers with the secretary facing the main entrance (note drawings). This should include: a desk, lateral files, and personal desk storage drawers. Also, include in the Secretarial area: 2 chairs and 1 small table as seen in description. The Furniture for the Secretary and Superintendent’s office needs to be the same. This furniture can be a different type (style line) than LCGA and LBCB. Contractor must provide a 2-D drawing and if possible also a 3-D drawing to represent the proposed layout. NOTE: All contractor prices need to be FOB Destination and include installation. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price offer. FAR 13.106-2, Evaluation of quotations or offerors The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offer whose offer conforming to the solicitation will provide the best value to the government. The government reserves the right to make award to other than the low bidder. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The following clauses also apply to this acquisition: 5352.242-9000 Contractor Access to Air Force Installations, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions? Commercial Items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests (Jan 2004).
