Description
NAVAIR Orlando TSD intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Inmedius, Inc for modifying an existing publisher product and add a converter that allows the F/A 18 data, developed by Inmedius to be read by the Automated Maintenance Environment (AME) system. The publisher product is proprietary to Inmedius, therefore it is necessary to go sole source with Inmedius to avoid the data rights issues. The anticipated completion of the effort is 30 April 2005. The F/A-18 program is implementing its training for the F/A-18 AME using the Navy’s new Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) training methodology and standards. The F/A-18 program is also converting its I-Level engine technical manuals from .pdf documents to IETMs using the DoD’s new S1000D technical manual standard. This requirement is to provide a single presentation system that will: · Provide concurrent viewing of both the training content data and the engine manual content data via JATDI servers and Internet Explorer browsers on NMCI or legacy work stations (the presentation system is a Web-based system) · Provide error and omission feedback capabilities via the complementary F/A-18 Help Request Document (HRD) system using the same JATDI servers and Internet Explorer browsers on NMCI or legacy work stations (the HRD system is currently implemented in the fleet for Boeing O-Level IETMs [87269 standard] using legacy servers provided by the F/A-18 program) · Be tested with the JATDI hardware and software in the NAVAIR LITMIS Lab for compatibility with NMCI requirements and also in the SPAWAR Norfolk IT-21 Lab for compatibility with shipboard requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and technical capability statement in response to this notice. Navair Orlando Contracts shall consider all responses. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Any questions about this notice, please contact Jun Ji, Code 25334 at 407-380-4020 or jun.ji@navy.mil NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (22-DEC-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
