Description
The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), through the Program Support Center intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) for training and logistical support function in promoting, organizing and presenting five regional grant application workshops for SAMHSA/CSAP and the Drug Free Communities Program. This acquisition requires the ability to assist with the recruitment of participants and execution of an effective workshop session that is totally compatible with the Congressional intent of the Drug Free Communities Program. CADCA as the current contractor for the Drug Free Communities Program, has a unique understanding of the overall complexities and intricacies of the Drug Free Communities Program, the requirements of the grant program and the challenges that communities face in applying for funding, and CADCA is the only national organization whose mission is to build the capacity of community anti-drug coalitions. CADCA maintains a database of over 10,000 community coalitions who are possible applicants to the Drug Free Communities Program. Therefore, CADCA plays a critical role in the ability to disseminate information about these grant application workshops, recruit potential participants to attend and assist with the training format, implementation and follow up technical assistance.
