Description
RE042960020000, NSN 6140-01-393-5106, Storage Battery, in accordance with East Penn Mfg., Co. Inc., CAGE: 04055, P/N 624MFD. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. This is being procured as other than full and open competition under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Unrestricted Procurement. This storage lead acid, dry charged battery is a non-commercial item with a 6 month shelf-life. Material Safety Data Sheets are required. This is a solicitation for a proposed Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). This solicitation includes Paperless Ordering Placement System (POPS) requirements. The guaranteed minimum is 60 EA, FOB Destination, Inspection/acceptance Destination, QAP-001. Requested delivery is 36 days ARO. This solicitation includes a surge requirement and contractors will be required to submit a surge plan detailing how they intend to meet both the schedule quantity and the surge quantity requirements. Solicitation may be available for issue on or about January 10, 2005 and close on or about February 10, 2005. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. A copy of this solicitation will be available via the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home or http://12.3.216.20/home on or about the issue date cited in the RFP.
