Description
The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command has a requirement for the following commercial item to support the Afghanistan Medium Tactical Vehicles (AFMTV). This requirement will be solicited as a 3 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quanti ty Contract with two - 1 year options under Solicitation Number W56HZV-05-R0074. FAR Part 12.6, with supplemental information will be used. The Trade Agreement Act and Cargo Preference Act apply to this acquisition. The delivery schedule is a critical requirement to start no later than June 2005. These vehicles are critical to the fielding on the Afghan National Army (ANA), and for the ANA to conduct operations in support of rebuilding and providing stability in Afgh anistan. The solicitation will be issued on or about 07 January 2005 and responses will be due 17 days after issuance. Refer to the Market Survey on the web site for a brief technical description, and to the solicitation for all terms, conditions, specifications, requirements, etc. Additional Requirements: 1. A two year repair parts and consumables (e.g. filters, etc.) package will be included in this acquisition. This spare parts package shall include parts for unit and support maintenance levels. 2. No or minimal special tools for repair and maintenance. If special tools are required at organizational and higher levels, those tools must be included. 3. Vehicle maintenance, including repair and replacement of major components, to be conducted at ANA maintenance facilities in Kabul and four planned Regional Commands (to be specified). 4. A Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Program is required, to include analysis of fielded vehicles and model updates on future deliveries to correct significant R&M issues. 5. All necessary operator and maintenance technical manuals shall be included with each vehicle. Two Operator Manuals shall be included with each vehicle (one in English and one translated into Dari). 6. New equipment training will be required to be conducted in Dari, in Kabul, Afghanistan.
