Description

THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. In general, work consists of removal of disposed dredged material from any of the stated sites on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Alabama and Mississippi, and the Black Warrior and Tombigbee River System, Alabama. E stimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 6 January 2005. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project. ARRANGEMENTS TO VISIT AND SAMPLE SITES ON THE BLACK WA RRIOR AND TOMBIGBEE RIVER SYSTEM MAY BE MADE BY CONTACTING THE TUSCALOOSA SITE OFFICE: MR. HORN, MR. BROWN AND MR. GODDARD, AT 205-752-3571, AND THE TENNESSEE-TOMBIGBEE WATERWAY: MR. BREWER, MR. GRACE OR MR. SAUCER AT 662-327-2142, ON REGULAR BUSINESS DAYS . Note No.1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil. Neither telepho nic, mailed, nor faxed requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firms physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Regi stration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, 3.5 diskette or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Note No. 1 All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Note No. 2 CRITICAL PATH METHOD (NETWORK ANALYSIS SYSTEM) IS NOT REQUIRED. Note No. 3 FOR THIS JOB, A SMALL BUSINESS IS DEFINED AS HAVING AVERAGE ANNUAL RECEIPTS OF LESS THAN $17,000,000 FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS.
