December 22, 2004 SOURCES SOUGHT IN SUPPORT OF THE AIR FORCE HISTORY OFFICE (AFHO) SUPPORT SERVICES CONTRACT Document Type: R= Sources Sought Solicitation Number: N/A Classification Code: R-Professional, administrative, and management support services POC: Andrew L. Maine, Contract Specialist, 202-767-8022, Andrew.maine@bolling.af.mil Dianne Lyles, Contracting Officer, 202-767-8096, Dianne.lyles@bolling.af.mil The 11th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the upcoming Air Force History Office (AFHO) Support Services, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research or otherwise pay for the information solicited. This request is issued for planning purposes and determines the availability of the commercial market. The Government is looking for a contractor capable of providing transcription services on a continuing basis to the Office of Air Force History (AF/HO), located at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington DC. Requirement includes the transcription of recorded symposia proceedings or oral history interviews at various times throughout the fiscal year. Each symposium or interview will constitute an individual assignment for an audio taped interview or oral presentation resulting in a typescript for the unclassified and classified (up to SECRET) audiotape. Transcripts shall be the property of the Office of Air Force History. The Air Force History Office is the agent for official histories produced for educational use by USAF service schools and for a general readership within the service. U. S. Air Force historical publications are also placed in depository libraries, are sold through the outlets of the Government Printing Office, and have a wide public audience. Contractor personnel are required to have at least a “Secret” security clearance or be eligible for an interim secret clearance. All potential sources are asked to submit capability packages expressing their interest. The Capability package must be clear, concise, complete and limited to no more than twenty (20) pages, and shall include, at a minimum: (1) name and address of firm; size/ownership of business, i.e. large, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a), Disabled-Veteran, Veteran, Woman owned business, and Hub Zone; (2) number of years in business; (3) a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax and email; (4) Cage code and DUNS number (if available); (5) identify if you are a GSA schedule holder; affiliate contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); experience and familiarity with providing “Transcription Services”; (6) include past performance experience for the past three (3) years for similar services to include contract number, contract type, contract value, point of contact (POC) and telephone number. The applicable North American Industries Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 561410. Please note THIS IS NOT A SOLICIATION or for a REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
