Description

The US Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, intends to contract the pumping down, and cleaning of two (2) fuel tanks onboard the CGC BOUTWELL. Place of performance is Alameda, CA 94501. Performance period is 03 JAN 05 through 06 JAN 05. Boat’s POC is Engineering Officer, (510) 437-3447. Approximately 4000 gallons of fuel oil and water mixture. Contractor to remove and dispose. Contractor shall provide proper venting, open manhole covers, spray and wipe each tank clean. Provide marine chemist to cerify tanks are safe for personnel. Restore all compartments as needed by the E.O. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Attention: Minority Women Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT), office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
