- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for 1680 MHz (ART) Type IIA radiosondes. Only radiosondes which are included on the applicable NWS Qualified Products List may be offered in response to this solicitation. Information concerning the applicable NWS Qualified Products List may be obtained by contacting Richard Petersen, NWS Code W/OPS22, at telephone (301) 713-2093 extension 102. The Government may make two, one, or no awards from this solicitation. The Government has options under existing contracts, one or more of which it may exercise in lieu of awarding one or more new contracts from this solicitation. Any contract awarded from this solicitation will be on an indefinite quantity basis and will be for an ordering period not to exceed one year. Deliveries of new radiosondes may extend beyond the end of the ordering period by one year, and deliveries of reconditioned radiosondes may extend beyond the end of the ordering period by two years. Deliveries of radiosondes will be made F.O.B. Destination to the National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The maximum quantity of radiosondes to be acquired is 100,959. Solicitation DG133W-05-RP-1053 will be issued on or about January 7, 2005 and will close on or about February 7, 2005.
