Description
REQUEST FOR SMALL BUSINESS INTEREST IN THE C-26 CLS PROGRAM RFP N00019-05-R-1586 C-26 CLS effort NAVAIR is requesting that any company that is a small business under NAICS code 488190 and is interested in being the prime contractor for this effort submit information that will allow the Contracting Officer to determine that the Government can expect to receive viable offers from at least two responsible, competing SBs capable of performing the work set out in the draft Statement of Work. The top level SOW for (N00019-05-R-0024) will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page (http://www.navair.navy.mil). Companies are reminded that the effort calls for line level (Navy ?O? level) maintenance and repair of aircraft at three sites: Barking Sands HW (three a/c), Sigonella Italy (two a/c) and Naples Italy (two a/c). These locations are subject to change. The contractor is expected to provide adequate staffing to keep the a/c flying at a minimum availability rate of 80%. The company must cover all costs associated with hiring personnel, transporting them to the site, passports/visas, health/medical records or requirements, etc. Each company should provide information, including financial capability, sufficient to convince the Contracting Officer that it can provide the services and personnel in a manner that will not jeopardize current, ongoing operations. This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information being requested is more than normally provided by a regular, company capabilities statement, previously requested 07 December. The purpose of this information is to assist the Government in determining whether or not this effort should be a small business set-aside.
