- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment, Philadelphia intends to modify existing contract N00600-99-D-0133 with CACI, Inc.in order to allow for an additional six (6) months, of Technical Support Services, for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), beginning 07 February 2005. This action is required in order to provide continuity of services before a follow-on contract can be placed. This procurement is to improve Operational Availability of shipboard and aviation equipment by applying or developing Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) techniques for application at both the unit and multi-echelon levels. CACI, Inc is considered the only supplier of these services at this time, as they are the only company, which can support the immediate needs of the government without a costly start-up period. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
