- Description
- AMENDMENT 0001 TO SB1341-05-Q-0165 The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to technical questions submitted and to extend the due date for quotations. The due date for quotations is hereby changed as follows: FROM: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 @ 3:00 PM Local Time TO: Thursday, December 30, 2004 @ 3:00 PM Local Time QUESTION: Is it permissible to submit our bid for one or two line items out of three? RESPONSE: Yes. QUESTION: Is this a requirement that pedestrian monitor specified in Line Item 0001 shall identify radionuclides, same like items 002 and 003? RESPONSE: Yes. QUESTION: Are vehicle monitors specified in Line Item 0002 and 0003 required to have video and data transmission capabilities? RESPONSE: No. QUESTION: Is vehicle monitor specified in Line Item 0003 required to have detection capability for neutrons? RESPONSE: Yes. QUESTION: Is it mandatory that for gamma ray detection all monitors must use scintillators based on NaI(Tl), or we could submit a bid with scintillators based on CsI(Tl) which is similar to NaI(Tl)? RESPONSE: Yes, we need NaI but Contractors can submit the lists of specs for the CsI and we can compare them as the efficiency for the NaI is better. QUESTION: Is this possible that we submit bid for monitors for radionuclide identification using principles other than those described in the Solicitation provided we ensure that our solution produces comparable results? RESPONSE: NIST is not clear on what is being suggested. NIST needs radionuclide identification. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-DEC-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
