Description

Sources Sought Notice for Brand Name only Environmental Control Units to be used in the Construction of the Missile Defense Facilities at Fort Greely, Alaska. The US Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama intends to solicit and award a construction project for Missile Defense Facilities at Fort Greely, Alaska. The project itself has been solicited competitively under solicitation W912DY-05-R -0002. However, the project includes brand name only components. The Stultz Air Technology Systems, Inc. Environmental Control Units are embedded in the construction project, which will be issued competitively. Only the parts of the project requiring St ultz Air Technology Systems, Inc. Environmental Control Units will be brand name restricted, if no other sources are able to provide a unit that meets the Governments requirements. In the event no equivalent units exist, the Brand Name Only justification will be issued pursuant to FAR 6.3, Only One Responsible Source. This synopsis is for planning purposes, and is not a solicitation. This synopsis is the only document that will be published notifying potential offerors of the Governments intent. This preliminary information is being made available for planning purpose s only, subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this sources sought announcement. See Government-wide numbered note 22. Interested parties are requested to provide responses addressing your environmental control unit and company capabilities for handling low ambient air, high pressure, project engineering, and lowering the total cost of ownership.
