Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for an ICP Optical Emission Spectrometer to be delivered to the USGS Lab, 425 Jordan Road, Troy, NY 12180. The U.S. Geological Survey anticipates awarding this to PerkinElmer LAS, Inc of 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, Connecticut 06484-4797. It is in the best interest of the government to fulfill this requirement via a sole-source procurement due to the government's ability to receive a sizeable trade-in credit on previously acquired equipment; additionally, components of this requirement have previously been procured by the government. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. NO FORMAL RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE. The anticipated award date is 01/05/2004, under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code is 334516. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Interested vendors may identify their capability by responding within 3 days after the publication of this announcement to http://ideasec.nbc.gov, 05ER06-NoSolicitation.
