Description
Description: (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number F5HOSP43520100 is being issued as a request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-26. (iv) Notice: This solicitation is reserved for small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 333415 with a size standard not to exceed 750 employees. (v) Contract line items: Item 0001 ? Three Stage Centrifugal Compressor Overhaul (vi) Item Description is as follows: Work includes but is not limited to: Recovery and reuse all refrigerant using proper recovery equipment approved by E.P.A. This includes all refrigerant storage equipment. Remove oil from oil sum and follow E.P.A. guidelines for disposal. Completely disassemble the unit to allow replacement of all gaskets, o-rings and worn out parts. Inspect seals, impellers, motor shafts, keyways, inlet vanes, motor windings, motor leads, motor bearings, and terminal boards, etc for wear marks, cracks, distortion, rub marks or any other signs of deterioration and replace as required after obtaining approval from owner. Replace all O-rings, parts and gaskets with genuine factory parts. Replace all sight glasses. Open, clean, flush and visually inspect oil pump, motor and mist eliminator. Reassemble with new oil change and new gaskets. Evacuate complete system to 1,000 microns and allow to stand for 12-hour vacuum test. Recharge recovered refrigerant back into chiller. Provide initial spring start-up to confirm warranty period. Leave one complete start up log with owner. Contractor shall warrant all new parts furnished for a period of one year from initial start up date of overhaul. Work shall be in accordance with all Environmental Protection Code (EPA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, National Electrical Code (NEC). (vii) Service is to be completed by 14 February 2005. Place of service is Building 194, Attn: Mr. Peter Slemmer, 10 Missile Ave., Minot AFB, ND 58705. (viii) The provision of 52.212-1, Instruction to Offers - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. (ix) The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies to this procurement. The evaluation procedure to be used for this procurement is price and price related factors. (x) Offers must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with offer (see attachments). (xi) Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (xii) Clause52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition: 52.222-19, 21, 26, 35, 36, 37, - 52.225-1, - 52.232-33, - 52.219-6, 252.232-7003. (xvi) All sources must submit a quote with required Offeror Representations and Certifications by 12:00 pm Central Standard Time on Thursday, 13 January 2005.
