- Description
- Bulk fuel requirement of JP5 for DFSP Augusta, Sicily/NAS Sigonella. Details of the requirement: Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP5), NSN: 9130-00-273-2379, Specification MIL-DTL-5624U, dated January 5, 2004, quantity: 6,250,000 USG for Purchase Program 1.1d. Delivery Period is from April 1, 2005 through June 30, 2005 plus a 30-day carry-over period. The 30-day carry-over period allows for delivery of orders placed prior to the end of the ordering period. In addition, there are to be five 12-month options for an estimated 25,000,000 USG each, with the first option's delivery period beginning on July 1, 2005 and ending on June 30, 2006, and the fifth option's delivery period beginning July 1, 2009 and ending on June 30, 2010 (total requirement of 131,250,000 USG if all options are exercised). Each option will include a 30-day carryover period. Offerors must be able to deliver product via pipeline to NAS Sigonella or the NATO Pier when sufficient storage at the DFSP is not available due to construction. Solicitation is to be issued on or about the second week of December 2004. If you intend to submit an offer, you are requested to return a completed and signed Offer Submission Package to the DESC Bid Custodian before the closing date and time to facsimile 703-767-0488. E-mail offers will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. This acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreement Act of 1979. All offers must be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. IAW FAR 6.302, this requirement has been identified as a non-competitive contract action. DESC intends to enter into a contractual arrangement with ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Company as it is the only known source with the necessary capability to satisfy this requirement. See note #22.
