- This acquisition is set-aside for Indian-owned and ?controlled concerns in accordance with the Buy Indian Act (25 U.S.C. 47). Work to be performed, 1/LS Mobilization and Demobilization; construction of approximately 100/LF; 8-inch PVC Water Main C900-DR18; 3/EA 8-inch gate valves; 1/EA, 6-inch gate valves; 1/LS Water Main Connection ? 8-inch; 1/LS Water Main Connection; 2/LS Water Main Connection 6-inch; 15/CY Imported Pipe Embedment; 1/LS Pumphouse ? Structural; 1/LS Pumphouse ?Plumbing/Mechanical; 1/LS Pumphouse Electrical; 1/LS Well Casing Extension; 50/CY Gravel Access Road/Well Pad; 1/EA Fire Hydrant Assembly; 80/LF Fencing with gate; 1/LS Pumphouse Demolition/Removal; and all appurtenances necessary for a complete and operational system. This project is located on the Burns Paiute Indian Reservation, Harney County, Oregon. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance is approximately 120 calendar days. The estimated magnitude is between $100,00 and $250,000. Liquidated damages shall apply. The BUY AMERICAN ACT APPLIES. Indian Preference in hiring, suppliers, and subcontractors is required, including meeting respective Tribal Ordinances. Solicitation documents will be available approximately January 18, 2005.
