Description
NA This combined synopsis/solicitation is amended to include the following clarification questions and answers, for informational purposes, for the Decontamination Trailer: 1. We question that 16? is sufficient to provide Doffing, DECON and Clean Rooms support required equipment/appetencies? Answer: Yes. 2. We assume that trailer will be utilized in the winter and designed for Libby, MT environment. We want to verify that DECON trailer must be insulated and heated for winter use in Libby, MT. For example, Insulation R factor of trailer on sides and floor insulation should conform to meet design requirements of Libby, MT. Answer: No R factor is specified. It must be insulated and heated for winter (below freezing) use in Libby. MT. 3. Pursuant to above trailer insulation, freeze protecti on and HVAC requirements would be significantly impacted. a) Grey water tank inside and freeze protected inside double wall b) HV in Doffing and shower rooms. Answer: a) Yes, b) The HVAC in the clean room will heat/cook entire trailer (neg air). 4. Wiring service. (code requirement i.e. GFI/waterproof) Answer: All electrical shall meet code. 5. Utility service (only Electric Service); Connection by others. Answer: The unit should be a plug and run system. No hard wiring should be necessary. No electrician should be necessary. 6. Does installed equipment meet commercial specification? Washer/dryer; hot water heater. Answer: Washer/dryer can be residential type. Hot water tank should be industry standard. 7. Assume exterior piping to be insulated and heat traced. Answer: Unit shall b e used in sub-zero (Celsius) weather. 8. Since this is a delivered commercial commodity, is this sales taxable? If so, what is the applicable tax rate (in MT) to apply? If not, will a tax exempt waiver document be available for confirmation and record keeping? There is no sales tax in MT. 9. Please confirm that email proposals will be accepted in lieu of hard copy if sent to this email address by the January 3, 2005 deadline. Answer: Email proposals will be accepted, followed up with hard copy (next day). The date to submit proposals has been extended to Tuesday, January 4, 2005.
