Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Research, Engineering and Development Command, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army  Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV 26506 . This effort is to provide the Government with an alternative material for body armor applications  3D stitching of fabrics. This program is to conduct dev elopment/evaluation of alternative materials for Interceptor body armor and provide prototypes. This announcement expires on January 10, 2005 at 12:00 PM local time.
