Description

The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-04-0016 for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) requirements for Angiotensin II Receptor Antagonist (ARBS) used in the treatment of patients with hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Nephropathy. VA will treat approximately 152,000 unique patients annually using an ARB that has shown positive outcomes in patients with hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Nephropathy. However, additional treatment quantities for Indian Health Services and the Bureau of Prisons may be added to the solicitation later. Offerors must make available all package sizes and strengths of Angiotensin II Receptor Antagonist (ARBS) used in the treatment of hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Nephropathy they have available. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV). If offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including option years. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of June 30, 2004 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management’s (O&AMM) internet web site at http://www.va.gov/o&amm/busopp/sols.htm.
