Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS-NWRC), Fort Collins, CO, intends to procure Model ALP 2002 Advanced Laser Polarimeter, an analytical detector for chiral compounds is required for a liquid chromatographic system. Specifically, a laser polarimeter detector with a 675 nm wavelength diode laser light source is needed for the required sensitivity, stability, and detection limits, with the following: Technical Requirements: Detection mechanism: Laser polarimeter Light source: 675 nm diode laser Flow cell: Suitable for HPLC Capabilities: Enantiomeric excess; specific rotation; peak detection The award will be made on a sole source basis under FAR 12 & 13 to PDR-CHIRAL, 17546 Beeline Highway, Jupiter, FL 33478-6411. The Government knows of no other source and believes this item is proprietary to PDR-CHIRAL. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP). NAICS Code 334516. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR12.
