Description
A fixed quantity, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for National Stock Number (NSN): 5930-01-327-3006NZ; Part Number: 2674241; NOUN: Switch Assembly; Quantity: 112EA; Required Delivery: Dec 05. Destination: Ship to FB2039 OC-ALC Bldg 506, 7401 Arnold St Door 22, Tinker AFB OK 73145-9013; Size and Dimensions: Length: approx 4 inches X 1 inch round with attached diagnostic switches connected with wires weight 6 oz. Predominant Material: Aluminum body with attached electrical pins and wires. Form, Fit and Function: Mounted internally of the Main Fuel Control. Sends electrical signals for the Electrical Engine Control (EEC) identifying which mode of operation (Primary or Secondary) the engine is operating in. F100/229 engine. The Government plans to negotiate a sole source contract Honeywell International Tempe Arizona, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, is the only approved source. Technical data relating to this part are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Written procedures will be used. Potential offerors can obtain a copy of the solicitation from this FEDBIZOPS web site as soon as the Government has issued and posted the solicitation. Please note that the Government is not required to delay contract award in order to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. All proposals must be received no later than 4:00 PM Central Time on 21 Feb 2005. The award date is estimated to be on or about 4 March 2005. See Government-Wide Numbered Notes 22,and 26. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
