Description

The battery charger shall be a 12 Volt and 24-Volt automatic charger for standard flooded, GEL, and AGM maintenance-free lead-acid automotive batteries. The charger shall provide deep discharge recovery and detect faulty batteries. It shall be capa ble of operating on both 120 and 240 VAC, 50 or 60 HZ, single-phase current. The charger shall be rated for an output of at least 70 Amps at 12 VDC and 40 Amps at 24 VDC. The charger shall provide automatic self-protection from reverse polarity and autom atic protection from sparking. It shall be rated for all-weather outdoor use. It shall have a power cord at least ten feet long. The battery leads shall be provided with an adapter that terminates the leads with a plug conforming to NATO STANAG 4074, Au xiliary Power unit Connections for Starting Combat and Tactical Vehicles, as well as an adapter that terminates the leads with standard battery terminal clamps.
