Description

Solicitation for the following two items will result in a 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 20 Jan 2005. Proposed Contract is 100 % Small Business Set Aside. ITEM 1 - NSN: 1005-01255-4232, Part Number 12597040-2. The item to procure is a Blade, Front Sight used on the (7.62mm) M240 series machine gun. Material is 4140 or 41L40 alloy steel bar. Blade length is 11.9 MM Nominal; Blade width 1.3 MM Nominal; Bla de height is 11.8 nominal. The guaranteed minimum is 1,500 each and a maximum total contract quantity of 10,000 each. ITEM 2 - NSN: 1005-01255-4233, Part Number 12597040-1. The item to procure is a Blade, Front Sight used on the (7.62 mm) M240 series machine gun. Material is 4140 or 41L40 alloy steel bar. Blade length is 11.9 MM Nominal; Blade width 1.3 MM Nominal; Bl ade height is 9.8 MM nominal. The guaranteed minimum quantity is 700 each and a maximum total contract quantity of 6,000 each. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the i nternet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ri a.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code and Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the soli citation has been released to the internet and a signed copy of the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement has been received. The technical data package (TDP) for this solicitation and any resulting contract includes documents that are proprietary to FN Her stal. See Note 26.
