- The Barney Top Resource Management Project will be offered as a Stewardship Contract. The project area is located on the Barney Top Plateau in the southwest corner of the Escalante Ranger District,Dixie National Forest. This project is designed to move the area toward the desired future condition by using commercial timber harvest, precommercial stand treatment, road reconstruction. Connected actions include road improvements,road maintenance,and road decommissioning/restoration. Meadow restoration, aspen treatment and regeneration, and fencing aspen harvest areas are also included in the proposal.This project is firm fixed price,indefinite delivery and a requirements project. The solicitation will be uploaded on this same website on approx. on October 28, 2004. **THE SHOW-ME-TRIP THAT WAS RE-SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 28, 2004 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO CONTINUOUS SNOW STORMS. WE HAVE NO PLANS TO RE-SCHEDULE ANOTHER SHOW-ME-TRIP AT THIS TIME. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (26-OCT-2004).
