Description
Questions and answers for Solicitation W91RUS-05-R-0002: Q1. Is there existing e-mail systems at each of 40 MTF facilities? A1. Yes. Microsoft Outlook. Q2. Would the Government consider the use of these existing e-mail system(s)in conjunction with the offered fax service? A2. Yes. That is the current system in use. Q3. Please provide addresses and NPA-NXX (area code/exchange) for all facilities where service is required. A3. Phone numbers are provided by the vendor to allow for the following: 1. Serves as a return fax number for anyone who sends a fax to the recipient using a standard fax machine or electronic web based fax service. This allows the use of standard devices and existing phone lines for all who use the electronic web based fax ser vice 2. In SOME cases it also serves as the individual account number for tracking and billing purposes. Individuals are provided with a number, each activity or group of activities would have a master corporate account under which all individual fax numbers ar e listed. This allows for activity reports, usage tracking and general reporting functions. The idea being to allow the user to send and receive a fax to or from a third party. This type of software uses the phone number as a return fax number and prints it on the outgoing fax just as a standard fax machine would. It also facilitates a third par ty to send a fax from a standard fax machine to the user with no additional software or equipment needed. It also negates the need for the electronic web based fax user to buy traditional fax machines and additional phone lines NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-JAN-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
