Description
NA This is a non-competitive combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation No. DTRS57-05-Q-80025 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27. The NAICS Code is 443120 and the Small Business size standard is 7.5 Million. Any offeror that is interested in proposing on this requirement must respond in writing no later than 15 days from the date of this publication. This sole source announcement constitut es the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order on a non-competitive basis to Livemore Software Technology Corp. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to purchase licensing of the proprietary software LS-DYna3d, for use on a total of 72 Central Processing Units (CPUs) on single and/or multiple processor computer systems at the Volpe Center in Cambridge, MA, and at the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) in Washington DC. 1)Renewal ? Site License for LS-Dyna3d on 35 CPUs (Site License).2) License for LS-Dyna3d on thirty (37) additional CPU?s This proposed action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority in FAR Part 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses received to this notice would normally be considered, solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A response to this announcement must be mailed to the following: U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, Attn: Michael Attachi, DTS-853, 55 Broadway, Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA 02142 no later than 2:00 P.M. EST on January 20, 2005. The Government will not pay for any information received. The following notice is provided for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transport ation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
