ISSUE DATE: January 6, 2005 POSTED DATE: January 6, 2005 TITLE: Notice of Intent to Procure Sole Source SOL: RFQ10N3-106-05 DUE: 1/14/05 NAICS: 811219 POP STATE:NY AGENCY: Attn: Department of Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Medical Center POC: Greg Vogt DESCRIPTION: This is a notice of intent of the NY Harbor Healthcare System located at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 10010, to negotiate sole source with Philips Medical Systems, Inc., located at 3000 Minute man Rd., Andover, MA 01810. Philips Medical Systems, Inc. shall provide complete maintenance for the HP 54 Intensive Care Unite Patient Monitoring System in accordance with all contract terms and conditions. Philips Medical system, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the HP 54 Intensive Care Unit Patient Monitoring System and has the hardware expertise and own the rights to the proprietary software used in the ICU monitors. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302 (6.302-2,(ii) (A)) And FAR Part 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the equipment available from one source. One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. NAICS code is 811219, with a size standard $6.0M. This notice is for information only and may represent the only official notice of such solicitation. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone or fax inquiries will not be accepted or responses received after 1/10/05.
