Description
Trailer: One (1) sixty (60) ton, three axle lowboy trailer, hydraulically powered detachable gooseneck, new and unused Trailer to be of current production model and have been in production for a minimum of 10 years. Payload capacity: One hundred thousand (120,000) pounds net payload capacity Gross vehicle weight rating GVWR of a minimum 144,000 pounds Trailer to be built with a minimum 2:5 to 1 safety factor. Frame: 4-bearn design with T-l fabricated beams, cambered design with 16" deep main beams and 12" fabricated outer rails. Main beam flanges to have %" thick x 7" wide quench and tempered high strength low alloy stee1 Main beam flanges must run continuous from the front of the deck through the bogey section to the extreme rear of the trailer. Outer rails to have a 3/4" x 6 " wide top and bottom flanges, same quench and tempered high strength low a110y steel. Trailer deck to have a 2" camber for deflection and shock load. Cross members: High tensile W10" 12# wide flanged beams pierced through the main beams of the trailer and welded 100% to the outer rails. Cross members are to be located on 24" centers and be continuous the full width of the trailer. Gooseneck: 102" minimum swing clearance is required with a 22" king pin setting. 2" SAE standard ATA king pin is required with a 3/8" upper coupler 5th wheel plate. Gooseneck to have 3 cylinders total, 2 each cylinders 871 bore x 12" stroke lift cylinders for main load of trailer, plus 1 each 4" bore x 8" stroke cylinder to support gooseneck when disconnected from trailer. DOT approved glad hands shall be provided for the quick connection of airlines from gooseneck to trailer deck while loading and un1oading. Hydraulic cylinders shall be controlled by a dual section hydraulic control valve. Gooseneck to have an air activated positive locking pin to secure neck to trailer. Air activated lock pin shall automatically lock gooseneck to trailer frame Hydraulic power sources: Trailer shall include a self-contained 15-horse gasoline powered Kohler motor with 6 gallon per minute pump. Motor shall be contained within the profile of gooseneck with no motor components protruding above, below, in front of or behind the gooseneck. Also included within in the gooseneck profile will be a minimum 8-gallon hydraulic oil tank. Gooseneck shall also be plumbed for use with the tractor PTO. Fittings will be provided at front of gooseneck for quick connects to tractor hydraulic hoses. An adjust." flow control valve shall be provided near the front of the gooseneck to regulate the flow of hydraulic1ic fluid from the truck PTO to the trailer hydraulic system. Axles: Three axles having a capacity of25,000 lbs, each. Outboard hub piloted hubs and drums, single piece flanged lug nuts. Tapered spindles with oil bath roller bearings and bolt on oil caps. Tires & wheels: Tires to be IlR22.5 LR-G, 14-ply tubeless radials with flub piloted 10-ho1e single piece wheels. Suspension: Suspension shall be air ride with 4 manual override hand valve to raise and lower entire trailer as need in extreme situations. Automatic ride height control valve to be configured on the center axle to maintain a 9" mount height on all axles while in transport mode. Front axle to be a yoke or straddle mount type encompassed in the transition area from the main deck to bogey riser for structural integrity and minimal overall length. Brakes: Brakes shall be 16 ?" x 7" S-cam activated full air with automatic slack adjusters on all wheels. Deck: Main deck ahead of axles shall be 20' clear ahead of bogey transition riser are to rear of gooseneck. Deck to be 8' 6" wide with a full width oak deck secured to cross members with 3/8" carnage bolts and clamping type bridge clips. Drilling of cross members and screws are not acceptable. Center boards of deck to be removable for use with outriggers. These outrigger boards are to be bolted together to form one continuous full-length board per side. Adjustable deck heights: Trailer deck shall be maneuverable for extreme clearances at very stow speeds. Gooseneck cylinders must be able to raise a minimum of 16" above standard ride height providing a 26" ground clearance at front of deck for creep moves only. Deck shall also be adjustable at rear of deck with the use of a manual override hand valve on the air ride suspension. The suspension must be able to raise trailer deck 4" above standard ride height providing a 14" ground c1earance at rear of deck for creep speed clearances. Lashing rings: 20 total with 14 on the sides of the main deck and 3 pair on rear deck. Lashing rings to be a minimum I" diameter thick stock with an outside diameter of 5" x 6". Outriggers: Swing out type outriggers to be provided to provide an overall width of 10' 6" in the main deck area of the trailer. Outriggers to have a clevis and hairpins to retain in the stowed positions. Bolsters: Full load bearing bridge bolsters shall be provided. Bridge bolsters shall be a minimum of 12" deep v-shaped, 4" wide a bottom and 20" at the tops. D-type lashing rings $hall be installed at the end of each bolster. Bolsters shall have a minimum of 3: 1 safety factor for shock resistance while in transport. Wheel covers: Rear deck shall be 3/8" steel tread plate over wheels with 1 "x1" steel traction cleats on the transition riser area from main to rear decks. The~ wheel covers shall be the full width of the bogie area providing a full width rear deck over the tires and axle area of the trailer. Front fold over ramps: Front fold over flip type ramps shall be provided at the front of the trailer deck. Front ramps shall be a minimlID1 of24" wide X 31" long with access holes for connections of air and electrical connectors. Lights and wiring: Wiring to be installed in steel conduit throughout trailer with junction boxes and waterproof sealed connectors. All lights to be LED sealed beam with rubber mounted grommets for shock resistance. Dual stop and turn tamps are to be provided with separate circuits for brake lights and turn signals. Paint: All stag and rough edges shall be removed. Trailer shall be washed with a phosphoric acid etching solution. 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of acrylic enamel paint shall be applied to all eJ\.1er1or surfaces. All under carriage areas shall be undercoated with 2 coats of rust iI1hibitive, road spray resistant undercoating. Miscellaneous: Trailer manufacture shall provide a minimum of $2 million ($2,000,000) of product liability insurance with the purchaser named as a certificate holder. Insurance certificate shall be provided with proposed bid. Trailer manufacturer shall have an authorized dealer with a minimum of 10 years experience with proposed trailer in the State of New Mexico.
