Description
CASH IN ON GOVERNMENT BUSINESS Learn how to do business with the government! Now is the time to develop the huge government market, and discover what federal, state and local agencies and prime contractors are looking for both in quality and types of products and services. During ALLIANCE NEW ENGLAND, March 29, 2005 at the RI Convention Center in Providence, RI, small disadvantaged, women and minority-owned businesses, HUBZone, veteran-owned and small businesses in general businesses have the opportunity to meet and network with over 80 federal, state and local agencies, major purchasers and other companies that can provide services and products for established companies. This one-day format packs a tremendous amount of information into eight hours with workshops, trade show, networking and scheduled ?matchmaking meetings?. Workshops will help businesses discover ?How to get on the GSA Federal Supply Schedule, and what to do once you?re there?; ?What Prime Contractors are looking for in small businesses?; and the ?Programs Available for Women-owned Businesses and Veteran-Owned Businesses?. One of the agencies at the conference will be Naval Facilities Engineering Command that procures services to build, repair, and maintain Navy facilities, such as design services, construction services, maintenance services, and environmental services. Attendees can also schedule additional ?MatchMaking Meetings?, which are 10-minute, one-on-one meetings with agencies and prime contractor of their choice. Participants include several agencies within the US Navy, US General Services Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, US Small Business Administration, US EPA, state offices of New England states, US Army Corps of Engineers and many others.
