Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, hereby announces its intent to award a sole source contract with Onconova Therapeutics, Inc. of Lawrenceville, NJ, to provide the support to conduct research studies to determine whether the new drug product ExRadTM (ON-01210) using cell cycle regulation in appropriate models has protective effects against the damage caused by ionizing radiation. Onconova Therapeutics, Inc. shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, and subcontracts to conduct the research for a period of performance of approximately one year with the option to extend services for four additional one-year periods. The statutory authority permitting this award under other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as cited in FAR 6.302-1(a) that authorize USUHS to award contracts when only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements.
