Description
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission intends to issue an unrestricted Request for Proposals for nationwide court reporting services in the near future. Court reporting and transcription services are required for investigative testimony, depositions related to litigation in federal and state courts, Administrative Law Judge hearings, Judgement Officer hearings, and other meetings sponsored by the Commission. Court reporting services are required at locations throughout the Continental United States. A comparatively high level of reporting services may be required in the following specific locations: CFTC offices in Washington, DC, New York, NY, Chicago IL, and Kansas City, MO; the southern Florida (Ft. Lauderdale - Miami) area; and Houston Texas. The Commission anticipates award of a performance-based contract with one base year and four option years. The Commission has released a preliminary draft of the solicitation, which can be obtained on this website, and invites comments from interested parties. In particular, the Commission is seeking comments on the feasibility of a nationwide contract, on the statement of work, on the performance-based incentives [see Section I (5.1) of the RFP]; and on the pricing methodology. However, any and all comments will be appreciated. Comments on the draft RFP are requested by September 3, 2004. It is expected that the final RFP will be issued on or about September 15, 2004. The final RFP will be posted on the Fedbizopps website. Comments must be submitted in writing and may be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer at: ngraham@cftc.gov. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND NO PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE OR THE DRAFT RFP. Proposals will not be requested until release of the final RFP. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-AUG-2004). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 06-JAN-2005, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
