Description
MODIFICATION 1: The purpose of this modification is to make the following changes: A. On page 2, Section A, Line 1: Delete Public Law 69 186 Foreign Buildings Act, as amended, 22 USC 291 301 through 22 USC 291 302, and replace with Section 11 of the Foreign Service Buildings Act of 1926, as amended (22 U.S.C. 302); and B. On page 2, Section A, Add the following: See DOSAR 652.236-71--Foreign Service Buildings Act, As Amended (Apr 2004), 48 CFR 652.236-71. DESIGN-BUILD STANDARD EMBASSY DESIGN PROJECTS BAGHDAD, IRAQ. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking to pre-qualify firms for design-build services for the execution of a a New Embassy Compound (NEC). The project will consist of the design and construction of a complex to house U.S. Diplomatic functions in Baghdad, Iraq. The project will be executed through four separate prime contracts. Each contract is described below and may include a New Office Building (NOB) based on the DOS Standard Embassy Design (SED); General Services Offices (GSO) and associated maintenance and warehouse facilities; housing; support facilities; perimeter compound security; site infrastructure; vehicular and pedestrian access control facilities; parking; site recreational facilities; Marine Security Guard Quarters (MSGQ); and office annexes.
