Description

This is the third modification to Solicitation W914NS-05-Q-0021. This modification is to provide answers to questions posed by industry. QUESTION: Reference SOW 1.3 ? Regarding the 50 personnel, how many, if any, are fully qualified to work all of the tower positions without direct supervision? ANSWER: Approximately 12. QUESTION: Reference SOW 1.3 ? Have all the personnel had ATC classroom training of some type? ANSWER: All have had either refresher or primary ATC training in either Jordon or Singapore within the past 14 months. QUESTION: Reference SOW 1.5 & 1.6 ? Do the mid-2005 time frames refer to equipment only, or is that the date when the facilities are expected to begin providing service. ANSWER: The Area Control Center is expected to start limited operation by mid-2005. Both the ACC and the radar approach control are subject to delay due to contractual or equipment problems. QUESTION: Reference SOW 2.1 & 6.6 ? What type of equipment, including simulators, if any, is currently available for training? ANSWER: There are no simulators currently available. It is expected that an ACC and (collocated) radar lab will be available by mid-2005. QUESTION: Reference SOW 2.3.16 ? Please confirm that Baghdad and Basrah will have TRACON, and that Erbil, Mosul and Sulaymaniya are ATCT only. ANSWER: This is correct although Basrah?s TRACON may be limited to airport arrival and departure service only. The quote / proposal is due at 1700 hours, Baghdad time, on 15 January 2005.
