Description
The below synopsis "DELIVERY", is revised as follows: DESIRED DELIVERY: 300 each May2005, 500 each June2005, 600 each July2005, 800 each per month, thereafter. The Air force has a requirement for the Turbine Nozzle Segment applicable to The F100PW220 engine for the F15/F16 aircraft; NSN: 2840-01-455-9142NZ; P/N: 4088060; QTY: anticipated requirement between 7,495 and 21,867; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: beginning AUG2005 to Tinker AFB, OK; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 21 inches long X 6 inches wide X 2 inches thick; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: The convergent segments, together with the balance segments, divergent segments and seals, form the nozzle throat area. This nozzle assembly is variable, allowing the size of the exhaust opening to change depending on engine thrust requirements. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The solicitation will contain First Article provisions and waiver criteria. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 21JAN05. Anticipated award date: 31MAR05. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. E-mail to julia.harlow@tinker.af.mil is preferred. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. Qualification requirements exist and have been synopsized. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict Confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate In the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
