Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) intends to procure up to 1,480 packages of Infrared Glo- Tape 1 inch squares with Velcro and up to 1,500 packages of Infrared Glo-Tape Soldier Combat Helmet Identification Marking Systems (S CHIMS). Each package contains 144 per pack. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The small size standard is 750 employees for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511. This will be a Reverse Auction Acquisit ion. The Solicitation is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The Solicitation will instruct Contractors to sign and return the Representations and Certifications to the Contracting Officer at CECOM to receive a User ID and Password for the Reverse Auction. The proposed acquisition is to be a Firm-Fixed-Price, approximately 17-month contract with option quantities (see section B of the Solicitation). The Solicitation has been posted on the Interactive Opportunities Web Page (IBOP). The items will be shipped to the Middle River Facility, Middle River, MD. The shipments are to be FOB Destination with Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. Packaging and Packing shall be in accordance with Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging. The U.S. Army CECOM has established the IBOP website as part of the Armys Single Face to Industry, to allow electronic posting of Solicitations for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from CECOM to Industry. All parties who are interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive, information from the IBOP at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. You may access potential CECOM Business Opportunities by simply selecting CECOM Comm.-Elec. Comm.-Activ e, under the heading ARMY SOLICITATIONS, Logon & View by Army Contracting Activity, and then click on GO. You can register for a User ID and Password under USER SERVICES, New User Registration, on the right side of the screen. Offerors wishing to partici pate in the Reverse Auction shall follow the instructions stated in the Solicitation, which describes the date, time, and how the Reverse Auction will occur.
