Description

Please review and if you have any questions feel free to comment or contract me. CECOM-GUARDRAIL weapon system teams plans to enter into an agreement for support of Antennas that are part of the GUARDRAIL weapon systems. This contract will be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract that will be for acquisition of spare antennas and parts, repair of fai led units, technical support and field service support. Some problems have been encountered with reliability during deployments to harsh environments and some research needs to be conducted to decrease the failure rate and improve the reliability of the a ntennas. The contractor will also be responsible to maintain the relevance of the equipment to combat vanishing vendor issues. The contractor will be asked to maintain an inventory of spares to meet a turn around time of 48 hours for any failures of the e quipment. The USG does have drawings of a limited nature but will be able to provide antennas to be studied. The antennas that will be considered in this contract are, Part numbers, 10-179811-1, 10-133079-1, and 10-144050-1. The National stock numbers f or these items are 5985-01-060-6651, 5985-01-472-2857 and 5985-01-175-4673. All interested parties considering submission in support of this request for technical support should submit a white paper no greater than 10 pages in length and should include at a minimum the following information: 1) Provide evidence of the contractors facilities and experience with type of testing. 2) Provide evidence of past performance on similar projects in support of the requested work. 3) Respondents may offer whit papers on a total support approach or on any subset of this support requirement. This documentation may be mailed to US Army, Commander CECOM, AMSEL-LC-IEWS-R-GR, Building 1201W, Fort, Monmouth, NJ 07703-5211 to the attention of Barbara Johns.
